Mystery Quilt Sew Along Progress

We're moving along on the Welcome Home Mystery Quilt. This month we sewed our nine-patch blocks together with the plain blocks and added it as another border surrounding the house.

I think it's really looking good if I say so myself. I've had a lot of fun seeing your quilts in progress in the Facebook group. I'm impressed. Keep going - we'll be there soon! Some of you can probably guess the next steps . . . .

If you're thinking about joining in, you start here -

For those of you who have not joined us yet, there's still time. Join my Facebook or Yahoo small quilt group (see blog sidebar) and go to Files for the step-by-step directions. I'll keep them up in Files in both groups for a little while after we finish in August or Sept. Would love to do another sew along next year -  anyone up for that ?? This was my first attempt at this Mystery thing and so some kinks had to get worked out. Next one will run a lot smoother.

I'll post another Mystery clue for this one on June 15 in the small quilt group files.

Meanwhile - kick off your shoes and enjoy a great summer weekend!

Fun in the backyard.
(Lordy, two dogs. Only the little black one is ours . . . . [Oh, how I get a kick out of saying "Lordy" now.] )

Kathy ~ I love doing the mystery quilt and I would love to do one every year. There was a little bit of a hiccup at the beginning with printing issues but I think it all settled down and is progressing well.

Kathy I am not as far along as many, but I will catch up. Life things have gotten me behind. I also, would love another SAL next year! I say Lordy too, I don't recall anyone I know using this phrase other than one daughter of mine LOL:)) Thank you for inspiring and creating for us.

Hello! Just found your blog and it looks so fun. Got a kick out of your Lordy comments...I dont know why I recall so well my maternal grandfathers comments, but one of them was Directly. I will be there directly. Now I find myself saying it to my husband every so often and we flash back. I dont think I have ever heard anyone else use it! Thanks for your mqal...will check it out!

I agree...I think 'Lordy' is making a comeback! LOL! I love this quilt but I will be late to the party as I have company coming to stay and 4 birthdays and the 4th....busy time here but after the 12th I should be good to go! Meanwhile, I will get supplies and directions gathered so when it settles down here...I can settle in and sew! It is a gorgeous house rendition....one of the prettiest I've ever seen! Thank you for keeping the instructions out there for awhile.
